## NVIDIA RTX Spark: The superchip redefining what a laptop can do
NVIDIA RTX Spark combines what used to require separate components into a single, tightly integrated piece of silicon. Paired with Windows, it unlocks the performance and capabilities creators and developers need for advanced AI, creative and gaming workloads.
Here's what's inside:
* An NVIDIA **Blackwell RTX GPU with****up to****6,144 cores,** delivering powerful GPU performance
* An NVIDIA Grace CPU with up to **20 cores,**built for ultra-efficient, sustained performance across demanding workloads
* **Up to 128GB of unified memory**, shared intelligently between the CPU and GPU so large models, complex scenes and heavy timelines don't hit a wall
* The full **NVIDIA CUDA stack** built in, so developers work on the same architecture the world's AI is built on
What that means in practice: AI workloads that used to require cloud compute now run locally, with low latency and lower cost, in a 0.7in thin laptop that you can slip into a bag.
## XPS 16 Creator Edition: Built for creators, AI developers and gamers
Whether you create, develop or play, the XPS 16 Creator Edition was built to say yes to heavy tasks. Creators can edit multi-layer 4K and 8K timelines, render photorealistic 3D scenes and run AI-powered tools locally. Gamers get RTX ray tracing, the full suite of NVIDIA DLSS technologies, NVIDIA Reflex for low-latency competitive play and hardware-accelerated 4:2:2 encoding and decoding for editing.
For AI developers, the XPS 16 Creator Edition brings the full NVIDIA CUDA stack and up to 128GB of unified memory. Because AI workloads depend on massive parallel processing, this architecture allows you to prototype, fine-tune and run inference on the latest AI models and LLMs locally, using the exact architecture found in production AI environments, without a sole dependency on cloud compute.
Windows provides the secure platform foundation for this work, offering built-in identity, containment, manageability and user controls to run models safely on-device. Furthermore, leading agentic and AI developer tools, including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ComfyUI and Cursor, now run across RTX Spark, making the XPS 16 Creator Edition a purpose-built workstation for AI-assisted development.
## XPS 16 Creator Edition display: Tandem OLED with studio-class color accuracy
The XPS 16 Creator Edition ships with a 3.2K Tandem OLED display, delivering exceptional brightness, contrast and color accuracy.
The display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is factory-calibrated to Delta E<2 with Pantone Validation, meaning the colors you see on screen are held to the same standard professionals use for their work. Whether you're grading footage, retouching photos or designing for print, the display is built to reproduce color the way it's meant to be seen.
For moments that demand it, peak brightness reaches up to 1,000 nits, making specular highlights render with lifelike intensity and depth. And with VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 600, it delivers brighter highlights while keeping the deep blacks and rich shadow details that OLED is known for. This helps creators see HDR content more clearly and accurately when editing videos or photos.
## Full-spectrum connectivity
The XPS 16 Creator Edition comes equipped with a full range of professional-grade ports, so you can plug in and get to work right away. HDMI 2.1b makes it easy to connect to an external display for high-definition video and audio, while a full-size SDXC v7.1 card reader lets you pull photos and video straight from your camera. Three USB-C 4.0 ports with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery give you flexibility for charging and connecting peripherals with up to 40Gbps transfer rate, and they support a first-of-its-kind patented lock slot 1 which secures your laptop via a Kensington lock. There's also a universal audio jack for wired headphones, perfect for staying focused during long editing sessions. It's the connectivity creators actually need, built right in.
## Broad software and gaming compatibility
To ensure a seamless transition to the RTX Spark platform, Windows supports both native applications and existing x86 applications through Prism emulation. Industry-standard creative suites, including Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere, run natively to deliver maximum performance, while specialized tools such as MATLAB are supported through Prism.
For gamers, RTX Spark on Windows supports critical anti-cheat solutions, including Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye, alongside native Xbox app integration. Microsoft and NVIDIA are continuing to collaborate directly with game developers and publishers to rapidly broaden native gaming support across Windows.
## Engineered for sustained performance in a premium, portable design
The XPS 16 Creator Edition is engineered for endurance and delivers high performance in an unbelievably thin 0.7-in chassis with iconic XPS design. It's our thinnest high-performance XPS laptop.2
But engineering doesn't end with performance. The XPS portfolio carries a carefully crafted design philosophy centered on quality, authenticity and durability. Every surface, from the CNC aluminum chassis to the glass touchpad, is designed to look, feel and wear like a premium product. XPS has always been the benchmark for premium laptop design, and the XPS 16 Creator Edition continues that legacy.

## Key takeaways:
7 min read
The XPS 16 Creator Edition is Dell's first XPS laptop powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark, a single chip that combines up to 6144-core NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and up to 128GB of unified memory. The result is a premium 16-inch laptop capable of handling 4K and 8K creative workflows, local AI development and AAA gaming, wrapped in XPS's signature machined aluminum design.
* * *
## The first XPS built for NVIDIA RTX Spark
NVIDIA RTX™ Spark unites NVIDIA AI, RTX graphics and unified memory in one slim, powerful Windows PC. Designed to run larger AI models locally, without cloud dependency, and move between creative work, development and immersive gaming without missing a beat. Connect apps, tools and workflows into one seamless experience. Private by default. RTX Spark brings NVIDIA’s full-stack AI platform, ready for the AI workloads of today and whatever comes next. Delivered on the familiar, trusted Windows platform.

## Have more questions about the XPS 16 Creator Edition? We have answers.
**What is NVIDIA RTX Spark?**
_NVIDIA RTX Spark is a superchip that fuses NVIDIA AI and RTX graphics into a single piece of silicon. It combines up to 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU, up to 6.144-core NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and up to 128GB of unified memory, delivering high performance in a sleek and thin form factor._
**What makes the XPS 16 Creator Edition different from other thin-and-light laptops?**
_What sets the XPS 16 Creator Edition apart is the XPS design DNA it carries. Every detail, from the CNC aluminum chassis to the glass touchpad, reflects the same craftsmanship and premium feel that has made XPS a benchmark for laptop design. That design philosophy extends to how the laptop is engineered around NVIDIA RTX Spark, with Dell's largest and thinnest fans yet and a wider 8mm heat pipe built into a chassis just 17.8mm thin, allowing the GPU to withstand high performance without compromising the slim, refined form factor XPS is known for. Add in a studio-class Tandem OLED display and a full set of built-in ports, and the XPS 16 Creator Edition proves that premium design and serious performance don't have to be at odds._
**Can I actually run AI models locally on this laptop?**
_Yes. With up to 128GB of unified memory and the full NVIDIA CUDA stack built in, the XPS 16 Creator Edition can run large language models, fine-tune AI models and handle inference workloads entirely on-device — no cloud required._
**What is CUDA and why does it matter for AI development?**
_CUDA is NVIDIA's parallel computing platform — the de facto standard for the world’s AI infrastructure. Having the full CUDA stack built into the XPS 16 Creator Edition means AI developers can build, test and iterate on the same architecture used in production AI environments, without needing a separate workstation or cloud instance._
**What display does the XPS 16 Creator Edition have?**
_A 3.2K (3200x2000), OLED display with 142 PPI, VESA TrueBlack HDR 600 certification, peak brightness up to 1,000 nits, and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. It's calibrated for professional color workflows and sharp enough for pixel-precise creative work. The OLED display delivers 100% DCI-P3 color, factory-calibrated to Delta E<2 with Pantone validation for professional accuracy._
**Is the XPS 16 Creator Edition good for gaming?**
_Yes. The Blackwell RTX GPU delivers high performance, with real-time ray tracing, the full suite of RTX DLSS technologies, like DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, RTX Ray Tracing, and NVIDIA Reflex for low-latency competitive play, and hardware-accelerated AV1 encoding for streaming. Even though it is a professional creator laptop, it has the power to play the newest games at high framerates._
**What ports does the XPS 16 Creator Edition include?**
_The XPS 16 Creator Edition features three USB-4 Type-C ports, an audio jack, HDMI and a full-size SDXC v7.1 card reader. All Type-C™ ports support a first-of-its-kind patented lock slot which secures your laptop via a Kensington lock._
**How does unified memory benefit creative and AI workloads?**
_Unified memory means the CPU and GPU share the same memory pool — up to 128GB — rather than having separate, smaller allocations. For creators, that means large 8K timelines and complex 3D scenes don't hit memory limits. For AI developers, it means you can load and run larger models locally than would otherwise be possible on a laptop. For everybody else, it means more efficient use of memory, which improves battery life._
**What are RTX Spark Windows PCs, and what’s different from other Windows PCs?**
_RTX Spark-powered devices are Windows 11 PCs. They combine an Arm-based CPU, NVIDIA RTX graphics and unified memory to support demanding AI, creative and gaming workloads — including running AI models locally and rendering complex 3D projects. Microsoft optimized Windows for this architecture across performance, power management, memory and app compatibility._
**What has Microsoft done to improve gaming and app performance on Windows on Arm?**
_Microsoft continues to invest in native application support and Prism, the emulator for running 32-bit and 64-bit x86 apps. Prism is optimized for the RTX Spark microarchitecture and builds on compatibility and performance work, including support for AVX and AVX2 instruction set extensions. These investments help developers, creators and gamers run workloads through emulation, including apps that have not been built natively for Arm-based devices. Microsoft and NVIDIA continue to work with game developers and publishers, including Riot Games and KRAFTON, to broaden gaming support on Windows._
**When and where is the XPS 16 Creator Edition available?**
_The XPS 16 Creator Edition is now available for pre-order on Best Buy and will be available on Dell.com soon._
